While neurotoxins relax muscles, fillers restore volume. Made of hyaluronic acid—a moisture-binding molecule naturally found in your skin—fillers are safely injected to plump up lips, smooth out deep folds, contour the jawline, or lift cheeks that have lost their youthful bounce over time.
Think of it this way: neurotoxins are for expression lines (lines that appear when you move your face, like squinting or frowning). Fillers are for volume loss and structure (filling in hollows, lifting sagging areas, or adding shape to your lips and cheeks).
Yes! You will see an immediate change in volume before you even leave our chair. However, it takes about 2 weeks for the filler to fully integrate with your tissue and for minor swelling to settle. Depending on the specific filler used and where it’s placed, results last anywhere from 6 to 18 months.
Swelling and mild bruising are completely normal and to be expected for the first few days. We recommend scheduling your filler appointment at least 2 weeks before any major events. To minimize bruising, avoid alcohol and blood thinners (like aspirin or ibuprofen) for 24 to 48 hours beforehand.
